ACCOMMODATION

Want to come for the weekend? Brilliant!  You have a number of options.

Camp with us onsite

This is our top recommendation! Immerse yourself in the festival, have that third glass/bottle of Prosecco without worrying, make new friends around the campfire while looking at the stars and listening to the owls hooting.   Never camped before?  Don’t worry there will be plenty of people around to help you set up and lend you the tent pegs you’ve forgotten.  If you’re a camping virgin or have any accessibility requirements and have questions as to whether we are able to provide what you’ll need, just drop us an email to primadonnafestival@gmail.com .

Camping the old-fashioned way is included in all weekend tickets, but is of course optional!

Caravans/Motorhomes

We have a few spaces available for campervans which are smaller than 5.5m in length.  These will be parked separately to the campsite (no vehicles are allowed to park on the campsite) without a hook-up.  These require an additional ticket of £50 per weekend.   If you have a caravan that’s bigger, or if we no longer have pitches available, we’d recommend Stonham Barns which is only a couple of miles away, and which has the added attraction of a Sunday morning boot sale!

Glamping

If you’ve booked glamping, well done! Our glamping bell-tent suppliers have now SOLD OUT. If you’d like to go on a waiting list to see if there’s any late availability or returns, then email us on primadonnafestival@gmail.com and we’ll let you know the second anything comes up.

Use our discounted rooms at Pentahotel in Ipswich

We’ve agreed a discounted rate for you at the Pentahotel in Ipswich of £69 per night. This is an easy option for those of you using public transport as it’s only a few hundred yards from Ipswich railway station.  It also has wheelchair accessible rooms (but you must indicate this at the time of booking).

To get this rate, bookings need to be made before the end of July, via email reservations.ipswich@pentahotels.com quoting the reference “Primadonna”. These rooms are limited, so book now!

It’s easy to get taxis to and from Ipswich, and we would recommend the taxi firm Avenue Taxis. A taxi fare is around £25 each way, and it’s recommended that you book your return journey (from the Festival back to Ipswich) at the time you make the outward journey each day.  You may not need taxis though as we expect to be running our own bus service between Pentahotel and the festival which will be offered either free or at a nominal cost.   Details to be confirmed here over the coming weeks.

Find a local B&B

This is an easy option for those of you driving here and gives you an opportunity to explore our beautiful Suffolk villages. For those of you using public transport or who fancy a drink and therefore need a taxi, it can be difficult to find a taxi service to bring you between two rural locations so if you don’t fancy camping we’d recommend you stay in Ipswich.  To look for local B&Bs you can go onto the Visit Suffolk website. They have lots of accommodation but unfortunately their search doesn’t work by postcode so you should select either Woodbridge or Stowmarket, and bear in mind that we’re on country roads which means that if you’re more than 15 miles away from our postcode (IP14 6DT) it will take you half an hour to drive back and forth.  If you go onto AirBnb you can do a search by postcode. If you use Booking.com you should key in Debenham as the location. We’ve heard really good things about Bays Farm which is pretty close, but they get booked up so book early!
